Joan passed away peacefully in her 89th year, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, January 26, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Roger Deschamps, and her parents, the late Agnes and Desmond Rock. Cherished mother of David (Judith Nicolaiff Deschamps), Susan (Pam Owen), and loving grandmother of Anick Boucher-Deschamps (Pascal Lafrance), Michael and Derek Nicolaiff. Lovingly remembered by her sister and brother-in-law Ann and Claude Danis and nieces Jo-Ann Tremblay and Diane Marks. Joan lived out her life with dignity, and always enjoyed the company of her family and friends. A memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 8th, 2017 at 1:00 PM, in the chapel of the Monastery Residence, 161 rue Principale Aylmer, Québec (beside the Tim Horton’s). Additional parking available in the rear of the Monastery or at St-Mark’s Church across the street. In memory of Joan, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Ottawa-Carleton, are appreciated.
