

Albert Augustine Lorenzetti passed away on May 12, 2026, at the age of 79. A lifelong resident of Babylon, Albert leaves behind a legacy of education, sportsmanship, conservation, and devotion to family and community.
He is survived by his beloved son, Luke; daughter-in-law, Jessica; grandson, Wylder; and granddaughter, Daisy-Lynn, all of whom brought immense pride and joy to his life.
Albert dedicated his professional life to education, serving a full career as a respected high school educator at Newfield High School, where he taught Advanced Placement Biology and Chemistry. Known for his passion for science and commitment to his students, he inspired generations of young minds both inside and outside the classroom.
Beyond his career in education, Albert lived a remarkable second life on the water and in the outdoors. A professional charter boat captain and Mercury Pro Team member, he was widely respected for his knowledge, skill, and lifelong love of fishing and hunting. He was also a proud member of the Outdoor Writers Association of America and a lifetime member of the Peconic River Sportsman's Club. Throughout his life, Albert remained a devoted hunter, outdoorsman, and conservationist who shared his passion generously with families, friends, and countless members of his community.
A memorial visitation will be held at the residence of Rick Ramsay, 59 Garner Lane, Bayshore, NY 11706 on on Wednesday, May 20, 206 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
