Dolores "Chubby" Martino

Dolores "Chubby" Martino (nee Confortini), 94, of Lindenhurst, formerly of Richmond Hill, entered into Eternal Life on January 7, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Michael, Sr. Devoted mother of Michael, Susan Zambito, and Maria Casha. Dear mother-in-law of Deborah, Thomas Zambito, and Charles Casha. Adored grandmother of Alda (Ryan Darragh), Michael (Chrissy), Amanda, Jacqueline (Nick Francesco), Jessica, and Charles. Cherished great-grandmother of James, Max, and Avynn. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, as well as her cat, Paisley. Predeceased by her parents, Egisto and Maria (Ferrari) Confortini, and her siblings, Edward Confortin and Cecelia LaBelle. Retired aide from Lindenhurst Middle School. The last of her generation, Chubby was the matriarch who was cherished in her unique role of bridging the history of her descendants to their ancestors with her vivid memory and deep love for the Confortini and Ferrari families from which she came. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by each life that she touched. Family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, Tuesday, January 10, 2023, 2 pm-4:30 pm & 7 pm-9:30 pm. Closing prayers at the funeral home 10:30 am Wednesday, January 11, 2023. Interment to follow at Saint Charles Cemetery.
