I taught in Lindenhurst in 1959 in the Business Department and always remember how Pauli and Dom welcomed me.  Later I took golf lessons from Don.  Many times I have thought about him and Pauli.  They came from a suburb of Pittsburgh where I live now.  God bless Pauli and I know how much Dom is missed.

My prayers are with Dom and his family. We had good times together as friends, co-workers and musicians. He will always be remembered.

Although I have not seen Mr. A for many years he left a very positive impression on me and will be missed. I always remember him helping with little league and letting us all hang out at the house when we came to see Dave. He also gave me my first golf lesson along with golf balls and a video for instruction  He will be in my thoughts and prayers along with his family.

Mr. A was a great teacher and role model. So glad he was part of my life. He will be missed . RIP

This makes me SO sad. Mr. A was a great inspiration for me. It was he who encouraged me to be a professional musician. As an 8th grade music student, we frequently ate lunch together in his office at Lindy Jr Hi.. My mom used to give me an extra sandwich, or piece of cake for him. He's playing in God's big band now.

I worked with Dom and respected him as a warm and caring human being. He was a credit to his profession and a wonderful role model for his students.

"Pops" was a teacher of mine back in the day. He also played a music job with me when I was a student. I Graduated in 61.
My heart goes out to his family and friends. The loss saddens me because I have fond memories of a great guy and teacher

Rest in peace, Mr. Attasani. A true inspiration as a teacher and a great man.  He wore his love of music like a superhero cape and swept us all up in his amazing ability. As a flute player, I was jealous of the brass and sax players because they got to spend more time with him.  He is swingin' in heaven now with the greats.

Farewell, Pops.

Our lives were all the richer for having had the privilege of being a student of "Pops". His love of music was instilled in us all, and his legacy will live on.  Thank you to the Attisani family for sharing this wonderful man with us.

A wonderful man & teacher and friend to my family. Our deepest & sincerest sympathies to family Friends & students. Mr. A you will always remain in the hearts of all you taught us to appreciate  and feel the Music

Truly saddened to hear this .. I came to Lindenhurst H.S. in the middle of my junior year, graduating 1956.  Never had Mr. Attisani as a music teacher but definitely got to know him working in the Guidance Office under Ms Burgevin and Mr Larkin.  His interest in the student was indeed obvious.  My brother (Mario) who graduated 1963, played the saxophone and was in his band.  A Deep Loss this is.  Deepest Sympathy to His Wife and Family.

You were such a wonderful in our children's lives and ours. We  were there with you through many happy years. You truly made a difference. In young people's lives. God bless you and your family.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of "Mr. A".His musical talent and patience with his students was exceptional. A great guy!

In 1974, "Pops" taught me how to go from "playing" music to "feeling" music. He had a definite impact on my life that has stayed with me for 40 years. What a man, what a teacher, what a friend.

My deepest condolences to the Attisani family.  "Pops" was the BEST teacher and mentor I ever had.  He made a lasting impression on the lives of so many of us who were lucky enough to know him.  He truly made a difference and this world is a better place for him having been in it.

My husband and I were both students in Lindenhurst in the early 80s. I went to college on a full music scholarship -with much thanks to Pops' education and encouragement. I am still teaching, conducting, and performing today. Pops shaped me into much of what I am. Our sincere condolences to all who will feel this great loss, and thank you to his generous family who patiently shared him with so many of us.
