Edward J. Zelinski Jr. (Pop), beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2024, at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Albertine G. Marra-Zelinski, and his son, Edward J. Zelinski III.
Edward was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, where he spent a fulfilling life surrounded by family and friends. He worked as a stationary engineer for 35 years, dedicating himself to his profession with diligence and pride.
A man of many passions, Edward found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He cherished spending time with his family above all else and was known for his infectious laughter and warm personality. Edward had a knack for cooking delicious meals, a talent he generously shared with his loved ones. His kitchen was always filled with the aroma of his culinary creations.
Edward's love for sports, particularly the New York Yankees, New York Giants, and the New York Rangers, was evident to all who knew him. He enjoyed nothing more than cheering on his favorite teams, often sharing the excitement with his family and friends.
In his free time, Edward could be found indulging in his hobbies, which included building ships, reading, and watching the History Channel. He had a fondness for cracking jokes, singing, and regaling his loved ones with stories from his past.
Edward leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be forever cherished by his daughters, Tina Zelinski Pollack (Daniel Pollack) and Carolann Virginia Zelinski, his grandchildren Skiela (Dominick), Neiko, Luca, and Roman, his great-grandchildren Aubrey and Delilah, his sister Virginia Allacco, his brother Bernard Zelinski, and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He was also a devoted pet parent to his beloved cat, Meatball, who brought him endless companionship and joy.
Edward will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends will forever remain in our hearts.

A visitation for Edward will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, followed by a visitation from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
