

Vera was predeceased by her beloved husband, Anthony J., with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and devotion. Loving mother of Anthony (Joy) and John (Mandy), who were her pride and joy. Vera was a cherished and devoted Nana to Amanda, Nicolette, Alexa, Corey, and Melinda, each of whom brought immense happiness to her life.
Vera will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and her deep love for her family. She had a special place in her heart for her dogs—especially her beloved German Shepherd, Max. Throughout the years, German Shepherds were a constant presence in her home, bringing her companionship and comfort.
Music filled Vera’s life and home. She particularly enjoyed the sounds of the 1960s and 1970s, with favorites including Neil Diamond and Andrea Bocelli. Whether listening to a cherished record or sharing a favorite song with family, music was one of her simple and enduring joys.
Above all, Vera’s warmth, wit, and unconditional love will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
Family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, NY 11702, in the Argyle Room, on February 18, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at St. Patrick's R.C. Church in Bay Shore, NY. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
