Fernando Pacheco Goncalves, 79, of Babylon, entered into Eternal Life on February 22, 2023. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Alaide, in 2015. Devoted father of AnaPaula Goncalves-Kalinowski and her husband, Joseph. Adored grandfather of Liam Kalinowski and Madelyn Kalinowski. Cherished brother of Manuel Goncalves and Jaime Goncalves. Loving brother-in-law of Ruivo and Pereira families. Born in Gondomil, Portugal, Fernando was a retired construction worker who was passionate about gardening and farming. He was also a die-hard soccer (futbol) fan, always rooting for his favorite team Porto (FC Porto). Fernando was also a member of the Long Island Portuguese American Club. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by each life that he touched. Family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, Sunday, March 5, 2023, 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm. Funeral mass 10:30 am Monday, March 6, 2023, St. Joseph's RC Church, Babylon. Interment to follow at Saint Charles Cemetery.
