Words cannot express my appreciation for all the kind words, prayers and Mass intentions for our mother, Florence. Today we celebrated mom’s birthday to Eternal Life! Sto-Lat!

Aunt Florence was such an important part of our family.  She was always there to lend a helping hand, warm smile and of course a prayer whenever you needed it.  Christmas carols at Aunt Florence's and Uncle Gene's will always be an important memory in my life and I am so glad that Richie, Elizabeth and Kevin got to experience them with her as well. Every time I make stuffed cabbage, pea soup or sweet potato casserole I will think of her as she shared her recipes with me.  We will all miss you very much Aunt Florence.  Thank you for all you have been to our family.  We love you.

We Sobocinski’s and Peterson’s have fond memories of all the walks around the block to visit our Yusko cousins and all the fun at the parties from the yard. Aunt Florence was so special to my mom Irene with Florence being a bridesmaid for my parents. We send our prayers to all. 

Grandma Yusko  was a woman of strong faith who loved her children.  Memories of Grandma holding family gatherings included a cook-out with all the generations or coming together at our Great Aunts home.  The elders would line their lawn chairs up talking for hours, kids running around the backyard or searched for tree frogs & sometimes the adult children formed a human pyramid for a kodak moment.  One thing is for sure pride of Polish-American heritage and traditional meals have been passed down to us kids. When speaking together last Grandma reminded me of her prayers for all her children and grandchildren.  Thank you Grandma for praying for me before my birth and long after, what a gift. Most of all thank you for giving me such a beautiful mother, Eileen what a blessing. Mom loves you and passes on stories of all the generations (Aunt Jennie, Uncle Stanley, Kenny, Grandma Tessie... siblings, cousins ....) to us kids. Peace be with you grandma, Uncle Peter, Uncle Stephen, Aunt Christine, Aunt Diane, Aunt Helen & family and all the generations of our family.

What a lovely person! The Minnesota Sobocinski's were always so lucky to be hosted by your family when we visited.  Florence was always so generous and kind.  Best wishes to all of you.

Aunt Florence was many things to many people; she was a wife, a mother, an aunt, a grandmother, a great grandmother, a friend. She minded our children, gave us recipes, hosted our holidays, shared her stories. She sang with us, cried with us , and laughed even more with us. Perhaps her greatest gift to us was her faith. Anyone in need could count on her to immediately respond " I will pray for you in Block Rosary".  Those prayers were so powerful.
 Aunt Florence, I will miss you so much. I will love you always. God bless you and rest in peace. I am so grateful to have had you in my life.

Good morning Mom, today is Sunday, Veteran's Day, November 11th and I know you are in the arms of your favorite WW2 vet, Daddy.   Well I'm already missing  my morning call to you and I figured the best way to contact you now is to replace my call with a rosary.   By the way today's "scoop" :  everyone you touched loved you very much and we are so very happy you were part of our lives.  You are in my heart young lady and I love you very much !   The best prayer we shared together is  "Please God remove any bitterness from my heart and replace it with a kind and loving one"
