Gaetano Pernice

Gaetano Pernice, 71 of West Babylon NY on June 14, 2022. Beloved husband of Marianna. Cherished father of Maria Sideras (Panagiotis), Vincenza Crispo (Giovanni), and Ciro Pernice (Kylie). Adoring grandfather of Giovanni, Alessia, Gianpaolo, Athena, Niko, and Luella. Caring brother to his brothers and sisters. Gaetano was born in Marineo, Palermo Italy immigrated to the US, and raised his family in NY. Gaetano was a successful entrepreneur and ran Galleria Pizza in North Merrick, NY which he later passed on to his son Ciro. Gaetano started making his own olive oil in Marineo, Italy three years ago following in the footsteps of his father. He imported his olive oil to the US along with other Sicilian products which he cherished. Gaetano had a dynamic personality that lit up the room and he was loved by all that knew him. He will be missed dearly by all. Family and friends may visit, Sunday at the Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home from 2:00-4:30 and 7:00-9:30 pm. The family will be gathering at the funeral home on Monday morning at 9:00 am. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on Monday at 9:30 am. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Grace RC Church, W. Babylon, NY. Entombment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
