I am so heartbroken to hear about Miss Jean. Miss Jean was one of the most amazing and wonderful people I’ve ever known. I was lucky enough to work with her on many shows at my high school and in summer programs. She also taught me how to tap dance. I learned so much from her.
There are so many memories that I have with Miss Jean that I will treasure forever. The first show I did with her was Alice in Wonderland. During one of the rehearsals, she gave me a huge smile and said, “you’re going to be a star someday.” That was over 10 years ago and her sweet words still live in my heart. She always encouraged us to follow our dreams. She always took the time to be kind to everyone. Three weeks ago, she posted on my timeline for my birthday, saying, ”Happy birthday sweetheart!! 😘” and that post put a huge smile on my face. Even though we hadn’t seen each other in a while, she was still sending me love.
Miss Jean was more than just a teacher, she was a best friend, an inspiration, a huge talent, and a true light in this world. She touched so many souls with her wonderful spirit and kind heart. 
I want to thank you, Miss Jean, for everything. I am sending you the biggest hug right now. My family and I love you so very much. Miss Jean, you touched so many hearts and it is a true gift that I have had you in my life. You will always be in my heart.

Miss Jean was an inspiration, she was so kind-hearted and devoted to everything she did. I remember the days of Mt Sinai theatre and learning from her and taking in all her words.  Miss Jean was also the first person to get me interested in ASL, as she taught of day-to-day signs and guided us through the signing in the musical Godspell, which I still know to heart today. She inspired me to keep learning ASL into college where I have taken it as a minor during my years in nursing school. Today was my first day in my ICU rotation for nursing school and truthfully I was terrified and asked for support through my day from those I have lost, and miss. Miss Jean for sure answered that call as I was able to care for and sign with a deaf patient who spent the day writing on paper to communicate with others. My day turned from terrified to confident as I engaged with this man and was able to use my signing skills that grew from the teachings of Miss Jean. I thank her for everything she has done for me, as a role model, as a teacher, and as a friend.

My wife, June and I are so sorry to hear of Jean's passing away. She was truly a special person.  Please accept our deepest sympathy.  How comforting it is to know that soon those who have died will hear God's call and answer by coming to life (Job 14:13,14) John 5:28,29 assures us that all those in the graves will come out. Until God's kingdom brings his will to the earth, please know that there is One who will comfort and soothe you (Psalm 94:19).  Please let Jehovah console you.

       We were so very sorry to hear about your dear wife Jean.  Although many years have gone by, we still have very fond memories of both of you. I love Miss Jean!! She was more than my choreographer, she was my sign language mentor & most importantly my friend!! I'm so lucky that I'm one of her babies!! I will miss her always!! Whenever I teach my special needs theatre group a sign language song, I know Miss Jean will be smiling down at me!! Forever blowing you kisses Miss Jean!! 😘

Mama Jean, we'll love you and miss you for always. Our trips home won't be the same without our lively conversations, our favorite sausage bread, and every other amazing piece of food you made us. The imprint you made on so many people, and the impact on your family is truly awesome, and will provide strength as we continue to miss seeing your beautiful and kind face. The way you loved is an example for us all, I am grateful to have been in your orbit. Thank you for showing us your spirit and teaching us how to love. Rip Jean you will be forever missed and I loved seeing you when I was a student at Sachem East and you always put on a big smile and you always made students happy and teachers. I loved going to see plays at East and they were the best ones. You always brighten everyone’s days and brighten my day. I loved the senior trip and we had fun. Until we meet again RIP Jean. I loved seeing you back in sachem.

Miss Jean you poured into me always. I always watched you in awe of how you empowered each and everyone of us, unconditionally. When you phoned me to work side by side with you on a show was one of my greatest honors.  I love you Miss Jean, thank you for the belief you had in me way before I ever believed in myself. 

Miss Jean was the most special woman I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! She took care of my babies, Ali and Heather as their interpreter in high school. But she was so much more! She showed them how to be brave and how to laugh and how to love! She became part of our family and for that I will always be grateful. Her light has left the earth but it will always be in our hearts. The memory of her hugs and smile and confidence and love will always be there to put a smile on our face. We were all lucky to know our Miss Jean and her loving family. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten!
