I am years late leaving a few words of memory for Jeff. I can speak for many friends from the Fredonia days, where Jeff’s exceptional gifts of calm leadership, vision and concern for people and processes, enlivened with warmth and wit, perhaps first were demonstrated. He was the understated  leader of many organizations and a most subtle caretaker of people. After he passed, some friends from the old days shared the word among ourselves. Not forgotten.

I have lived across the street from Jeff for 3 1/2 years. We would chat on occasion about the tailless cats that roamed between his house and mine. I thought someone was cutting tails off, he explained they were a breed of bobcats. Made me feel better,  being I am a big cat lover. I just found out (2 months later) that Jeff had passed away, I was very shocked. I knew he had  been ill and not been home,
 I was  hoping he was  perhaps staying  in a rehab or better somewhere warm for the winter. I am so sorry to hear he is gone, he was a nice neighbor.

I remember Jeff as a kid , he was a great guy with a smile you woudent forget , my deepest condolences to his family , he will trully be missed

I first metJeff when he volunteered
to work on my campaign for re-election as a Councilwoman in 1971, after he interviewed me to be sure he agreed with my views! It was the first of my next 10 campaigns, and a wonderful friendship. Jeff was a great writer and he loved politics. I remember many meetings, and strategy discussions in diners. There were always a lot of laughs. Loved getting to know members of his family, especially Fiore, who ran with me once, and his Mom. 
I will miss you Jeff, Rest In Peace.


Jeffs' parents, Mickey &  Fiore, were my 'over the fence' neighbors for 35 years; Jeff moved to his home on N Greene after Mickey passed away; Over the years, I learned  about the history  of his family  from his loving parents; Jeff tok over where his parents left off for me;  We lost our power one summer; Jeff hooked up an outlet to my deck and we shared laughs; he was so smart and  really expressed his feelings, especially in politics or  his many trip to Albany, fighting for our Casino etc;  After Newsday gave me a package, Jeff offered me a job @OTB; 15 years later, thank you Jeff;He often stopped in to our Phone Room, saying hi to everyone, and often praised our work;I would tell people he came from 'good stock'..Bless you dear friend...

 When my cousin Jeff & I lived in Queens he would visit me a lot. We talked till all hours as we ate &  drank beers. He moved back to LI & we didn't see each other for many years. When I moved to LI we got  in contact again. Since then we've had countless meals, conversations, wine & plenty of laughs. We shared a love of sushi & so many great times with our aunt, uncle & cousins. Whether it be just hanging out or special family dinners & parties.  I considered Jeff to be the monarch of our male cousins because he was always there with us either lending an ear or giving his honest opinion. Besides his generosity & intellect he had a sense of humor. He will be missed, rest in peace xo

Jeff was an amazing friend. He always made me laugh hysterically, was the most generous person, knowledgeable about everything and the most loyal friend anyone  could have. Jeff was just a fantastic presence and I miss him desperately. We have all lost a very special person. RIP Jeffery. Love you forever.

In addition to enjoying a pleasant work relationship at TIAA, Jeff and I developed a lunch habit. He introduced me to the world of Japanese food, and I think of him often when I enjoy some wonderful sashimi. 

Jeffrey was my 2nd Cousin who I met for the First time 2 yrs Ago at a Family reunion we talked a lot the whole
 time I was there he was a very pleasant & kind Person I pick up on that right away As soon as we started to talk I am so glad I got the Chance to Meet Him RIP Jeffrey Casale You are Now Up in Heaven with All Your Love ones .
