

Joseph was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ann, and his cherished daughter, Donna McCartney. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Karen Walter (Mike Lupia), William Gasparek, Lori Farina (Stephen), Joseph Gasparek (Gina), and Greg Gasparek (Annette). Beloved by sixteen grandchildren; great-grandpa to 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Born and raised on 34th Street in New York City, Joseph grew up surrounded by close friends, vibrant neighborhoods, and the energy of a city. He carried those early memories with him throughout his life.
Joseph was a proud and dedicated member of Union Local 3, where he worked for many years with honor, skill, and integrity. Outside of work, he found great joy in fishing—a pastime that brought him peace, laughter, and countless fond memories with family and friends.
A devoted husband, father, and friend, Joseph will be remembered for his warm spirit, steady strength, and unwavering love for those around him.
Visitation will be held at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Homes, located at 448 West Main Street, Babylon, NY 11702, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, located at 39 N Carll Ave, Babylon, NY 11702, on December 11, 2025, at 9:30 am. Interment to follow at St. Joseph's R.C. Cemetery, North Babylon.
