Joseph H. Osborn

Joseph H. Osborn of North Babylon New York died at 2:PM Wednesday April 4, 2018 at the V.A. Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born on July 6, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York to Josephine and George Osborn. He Married his beloved wife Carmen in 1954. She passed away on September 9, 2004. Joseph was a Korean War Veteran and active in the VFW and American Legion. Joseph was also a 50 year Life Member of the North Babylon Fire Department as a firefighter and EMT and devoted most of his spare time to helping others in the community. Joseph worked and retired from the North Babylon School District as an Electrician, among other jobs. He enjoyed volunteering and later in life was Treasurer for three different volunteer organizations at the same time. Joe, (Ozzie) also enjoyed traveling and fishing and was a Wedding and event DJ. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Friend.

He is survived by his Sons, Charlie (wife Karla) Osborn, of Hiawatha, Iowa and Joseph Jr. (wife Barbara) Osborn, of Plant City, Florida; two Grandsons Christopher and Conner Osborn; three Grand Daughters, Kristen Spillman, Jenny Osborn, Amy McPherson, five great grandchildren: Alexia, Brandon, Kaiden, Jackson and Grayson.

He was preceded in death by his Wife Carmen, and Son Michael Osborn, and Brother William Osborn.
