Kathy,   You and I shared so many precious memories of all the years of our friendship, the many soul talks, the laughter and the tears.  Even after retirement when our lives separated us by distance,  a next visit would always seem to start right where we left off!  You were always such a delight to be with...always smiles and laughter...and sometimes mischief!  I'll never forget you, my dear friend!   Love you always, Donna

I was a student of hers at Santapogue Elementary School from 1972 to 1977. She was a great music teacher.  Singing,  learning instruments,  and  putting on  shows. May she rest in peace.  💐

She was my first music teacher, in elementary school. she was nice to me and had a deep love for music, I am sorry for your loss. 

Be still my heart.  I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Buscemi will always have a special place in my heart. I was a student of hers in the late 70s early 80s at Santapouge School.  I will never forget her smile. It lit up the classroom.  Her heart was pure gold.  I  have never forgotten any of the songs I have learned and the joy I had in her music class. It was by far my favorite class of all time.  I remember when I was older (teens) I ran into her at Disney World.  She remembered me and of course gave me the biggest hug.  She was an amazing woman and educator.  It is because of her that I became a teacher myself.  I pray that she is at peace. Seems like yesterday we paid your Mom a visit at the assisted living on Christmas morning .  She enjoying watching our children play some music for her on their piano.  Our deepest sympathies are with you.

When my wife and kids and I would drive out to Babylon to go for a boat ride, Mama Buscemi would light up as she spoke and played with my girls. I always could tell why she was amazing with her pupils. She always connected with children so comfortably. It meant a lot to me for my girls to enjoy their time with Mama Buscemi, and I think it meant a lot to her and Sal as well. Rest In Peace Mama Buscemi. 

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Mrs. Buscemi was my music teacher through elementary school and I know she will be missed by the many that she taught.  2 Corinthians 1:3,4

Sal, my heart breaks for you! Your Mom was an amazing lady and we were privileged to know her! You did an awesome job taking care of her,  bringing her close to your home where you could see her regularly and oversee her care during these last few years. Mrs. Buscemi was such a sweet person. I remember the day when she gave me heartfelt advice about raising my daughter, Amelia. She encouraged me to ensure that Amelia was exposed to the many wonders that the arts can provide. She will be greatly missed!
