

Leroy Phillips, from West Babylon, New York a cherished husband, devoted father, loving grandfather, and beloved member of his community, passed away on March 4, 2024; He was born on September 15, 1950, in Griffin, Georgia.
Leroy was the beloved husband of Cynthia Nicholes-Phillips, with whom he shared a remarkable union of 37 years and a lifetime of companionship spanning 51 years. Together, they built a legacy of love, laughter, and enduring devotion.
As a father, Leroy was a pillar of strength and wisdom to his son, Timothy Phillips. He cherished the role of grandfather, doting on his grandchildren, Aela Phillips and Dakota Phillips, with boundless affection and pride.
Leroy was preceded in death by his brothers, John Phillips, George Phillips, and Lindsay Robinson. He is survived by his sisters, Theresa Phillips and Gloria Phillips, who will forever hold his memory dear in their hearts.
Throughout his life, Leroy found joy in various pursuits, including golfing, attending car shows, playing cards, indulging in scratch-offs, trying his luck at the casino, and meticulously manicuring lawns. His zest for life and adventurous spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.
In addition to his immediate family, Leroy leaves behind a vast network of relatives, including numerous sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, all of whom will deeply miss his presence and the warmth of his smile.
Leroy Phillips will be remembered for his unwavering love, generous spirit, and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him. Though he may no longer walk among us, his legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire and uplift us all.
A visitation for Leroy will be held Friday, March 8, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. A visitation will occur Friday, March 8, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A religious service will occur Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 9:30 AM. An entombment will occur Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Holy Rood Cemetery, 111 Old Country Rd, Westbury, NY.
