Marilyn A. O'Hara

Marilyn was the daughter of Aloysius and Gertrude Schroeder of Richmond Hill, NY who along with her sisters Regina Crane, Gertrude Allingham and Alice Giordano predeceased her. She is survived by her sisters Dorothy Dougherty, Teri Conlin and brother, Richard Schroeder whom she adored.

Marilyn is survived by her devoted and loving husband of over 61 years, Joseph O’Hara and their children, Patrick (Nancy) O’Hara of North Babylon; Matthew (Jean) O’Hara of Mt. Laurel, NJ; Janet (Stephen) Grey, Clifton Park, NY; Maureen (William) Budway, Port Jefferson Station, NY; Dorothy (Vincent) Scarmack, Bay Shore, NY; and Julia O’Hara, Oakdale, NY. She will be sorely missed by her grandchildren; Jessica (Richard) O’Hara Johnson, Brad (Alison) O’Hara; Christopher (Tiffany) O’Hara, Bryan (Angela) O’Hara, Timothy O’Hara; Emily Rose and Ian Grey; Brielle and Catherine Budway; Isabella, Adia and Cole Scarmack. Marilyn was also blessed with 3 great grandchildren, Scarlett and Courtney Johnson and Gabriel O’Hara. She is also survived by countless nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday morning at 9:45 am at Church of St. Joseph in Babylon, NY. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 West Main St., Babylon, NY from 2-4:30 and 7-9:30pm, Thursday, February, 4, 2016. Interment at Calverton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that you make a donation to your favorite charity in her name.
