MANCINI - Patricia Ann (Griffith) Mancini, 76, of West Islip, on May 1st, 2023. Predeceased by her beloved husband Frank in 2015 and cherished sister, Joyce (Griffith) Messano in 2023. Devoted mother of Ronald, Philip (Maureen), Matthew (Gayle), Frank (Samantha), and Michael (David). Proud grandmother of Nicholas, Joseph, Lily, Jack, Angelina, Vincent, Matthew, Landon, Gwendolyn, Frank, and Avan. Loved by her sister Donna (Griffith) Hounsell (Bill) of Florida and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Pat was born on December 28, 1946, the second child to Ernest and Rita Griffith in Brooklyn. She married her childhood sweetheart, Frank, and moved to Long Island to raise a family. A passionate advocate for children with special needs, Pat served as SEPTA president in the 1980s. She worked at ACLD (Adults and Children with Learning Disabilities) and ended her career as a supervisor of teacher aides. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. Pat, a proud descendant of Ireland by way of Newfoundland, had a passion for ancestry research and scrapbooking.
