Paul Kenneth Brodmerkel

Paul Kenneth Brodmerkel, 76, of West Islip, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025. Beloved husband of Susan Brodmerkel (nee Zere). Devoted father of Jaymee Gagliardi and her husband, George, and Christopher Brodmerkel and his wife, Kathy. Adored grandfather of Alexandra, Kaileigh, Makenna, T.J., and Reed. Cherished brother of Billy, Diane, John, Ricky, Kenny, Jeanne, Mary, Susan, David, and Dennis. Predeceased by his parents, William and Regina (Vogl) Brodmerkel, and his brothers, Donald Brodmerkel and Bobby Brodmerkel. Paul was a retired Physical Education Teacher from the Lindenhurst School District, as well as a long-time lifeguard at Cedar Beach, as well as a coach. He was a member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, as well as the Town of Babylon Association. Paul loved traveling, hiking, and spending countless hours at the beach. Most of all, Paul lived for his family and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. Paul had the ability to make others feel special in his presence. Every person who met Paul would instantly become his friend. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by each life that he touched. Family will receive friends at Claude R.
