Dad…..
A dad like mine is hard to find,
Strong of body, soul and mind. 
Big and strong with booming voice,
You listened to him, there was no choice.
Strength and courage he taught me well,
And often times he gave me hell.
A gentle giant, truth be told,
Behind an exterior so tough and bold. 
Life went on and old he grew,
The end was near and we all knew. 
Then came his time and he was called home,
He now is an angel serving God at his throne. 
Pain and emptiness is left in my heart,
It will remain there until the day I depart. 
I love my dear dad, more than words can convey,
I will live how he taught me day after day.

Pete was a wonderful man.  In the short six years that I’ve known him he’s been an inspiration to me. He had the kindness and willingness to help anyone at the drop of a hat.  The wonderful traits he instilled in his daughter Lisa, just reminds me how I have to be with my two daughters.  A couple of years back we had a conversation about train sets. He wanted me to bring them over so he could look at them. I said sure.  He went through every train engine and repaired them. The trains never ran so good. I thought what a wonderful act of kindness, that’s how I want to be. Pete left a legacy with many people.  I wish I could have known him longer. I always told him once a marine always a marine and those were the last words I said to him.

So very ,very sorry for the loss of your dear Husband,Father,Grandfather.I only had the privledge of meeting him a few times but oh what a wonderful guy!!So kind and strong! I will always remember that about him. I am praying that each and every one of you will have a dream that will comfort you . It may not be right away but then again it may be. My papa is one of the strongest people that I’ve ever known.  He was the  best  father and grandfather that he could be and he taught me many lessons that I would not have learned without him.  He was a hard worker and  I spent a lot of time working with him out in the yard over the years.  Of all the roommates I had during my many hospitalizations he was the best roomate I ever had. 
I will miss you until the day I meet you in heaven.

I was an only child, growing up I looked forward to summers on Long Island with my cousins….. As the day drew to an end, my Uncle Pete’s booming voice announced his arrival home. He would listen to the happenings of the day, pronouncing rulings, early evening dips in the pool and dinner with lots of love and laughter.  Pete & Annabelle were like 2nd parents and 27 Ogden Road, a second home!  You will be missed Uncle Pete! Rest In Peace ….. My Dad’s waiting for you in heaven to have a cup of coffee and build some models…. Love Chris 

My Dear Uncle Pete was like a father to me, he is the only father figure I had ever known in my life. Aunt Annabelle and Uncle Pete took me in and raised me as one of their own. I don't know where I would be today if I did not have them by my side during the most crucial years of my life. I will forever be grateful for their selflessness, and teaching me so much. He was the smartest man I knew, he taught me so much while I was in high school, helped with my homework, as he was the only one that could. And just a few years later, I had the honor to have him walk me down the aisle at my wedding, that meant the world to me. Then I was so grateful for all 3 of my children to have the honor to meet him. And of course they immediately fell in love with him as well. I am so glad I got to visit you 3 years ago to tell you and Aunt Annabelle how much everything that you did meant to me. You will be forever in my memories and my heart.

I have many fond memories of Peter, Annabelle, and all my cousins as a child, and teenager. Even though I didn't know Peter on a very personal level I always got this feeling of being around a gentle gaint who eyes, smile, handshake, and laugh I couldn't forget. Especially the laugh.  When my father Gasper Ciuffo, and Peter would laugh it up around the dinner table it would get pretty loud but I was drawn to it. I can still hear his laugh at family parties, and gatherings. You will never be forgotten.

We are so sorry for your loss. I have nothing but wonderful memories of Pete. From the times that I came to your home as a child, to all of the adult gatherings we were all together at, he always had a smile on his face. I never, ever heard him raise his voice, he was always so kind, he had such a loving heart, always made me feel welcome at his home, never had a bad thing to say about anyone. You could easily see how much he loved his family, all of you. You can tell he poured so much love into everything he did with and for all his family. Pete and Annabelle have been our next door neighbors since we moved into our home over 30 years ago.  Always friendly and caring, Pete gave us his grown boys' baseball bats when our boys were young.  As our boys grew, our younger son, Kyle, and Pete connected as they are both Marines.  We always marveled at Pete's busy curious mind.  The light in his garage would be on at all hours of the night as he worked away on yet another project.  The thing that stands out the most for me is how much Pete loved his family, especially his grandchildren.  Pete and Annabelle have stood by each other through thick and through thin.  I admire and love them both and am saddened by Pete's passing but count myself lucky to have been his neighbor and friend. 

Pete will always hold a special place in our hearts and will be fondly remembered. His dedication to his family and community will always stand out…we are honored to have known him and call him friend. Our thoughts and prayers to all the family.🙏🙏🙏

Anyone that had the fortune to know Pete, knew how much his family meant to him.  He was a role model to all men (and women) in his circle.   Although he had a tough exterior, he was a very kind and considerate gentleman.  He was a selfless man that lived every day for his family's happiness.  Not many can say they had a dad or grandfather like him.  He was the "rock" of the Pessoni Clan.    He may be gone physically, but if we know Pete, he will always work his magic - now from a different place.  Pete, you left your mark on this earth.
