Roslyn Griesbach

She lived a purposeful life and was the rock of our family. As she aged, we created "Roz Corp" to coordinate her care and maximize the joy in her life. She left us knowing how much her family loved her.

Roz will be buried next to her husband and mother and father at the family plot on Long Island. We are planning a celebration of Roz's life in a few weeks.

It is not our tradition to send flowers or make donations, but if that is how you would like to pay your respects or celebrate her life, please choose a cause that means a lot to you and helps to make our world a better place. Our Mom made that an important part of her life mission.

Roz was a lifelong advocate for women's reproductive rights. For years she got into "good trouble" supporting Planned Parenthood as an escort, protecting young women crossing hostile protesters as they walked to a clinic's door for treatment. She knew from her years as a OR nurse the pain and suffering women endured from poor health care and "back-alley" abortions.

She is survived by her 5 children and their partners, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Roz loved people; you were an important part of her life.
