Sasha K. Tempesta

Sasha K. Tempesta, age 50, of Bay Shore, New York, passed away on February 19, 2025. Sasha was born on July 10, 1974, in Queens, New York, to William Pelinsky and Ana B. Melendez. She is deeply mourned by her family, including her beloved sister, Erika Pelinsky.

Sasha was a dedicated professional in her career, working as both a realtor and a veterinary assistant. Her love for animals was evident throughout her life. She shared her home with a group of cherished dogs: Pugsley, Chub Chub, Caroline, Sharkey, and Perry, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

In addition to her work and her love for animals, Sasha was an avid supporter of animal rescue and a strong advocate for those in need. She was deeply involved in causes that provided help to underserved communities, including her passionate support of Ellen’s Bodega, a project that provided fresh food to immigrant and underserved communities. Sasha's giving soul and her unwavering support for those in need made her a beloved member of her community.

Her love for history was another of Sasha’s passions, and she often spent her free time reading and learning about the past. She also treasured moments spent with her family and friends, who will remember her for her boundless energy, her kindness, and her compassion.

Sasha’s dream was to rescue every dog in need, and she leaves behind a legacy of love for animals, as well as a commitment to helping others. She is survived by her mother Ana B. Pelinsky, her father William Pelinsky, her sister Erika Pelinsky, and cousins Lara, Greg, Amanda, and Bryan.

Sasha will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all the animals she saved and loved.

A visitation for Sasha will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM. A visitation will occur Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A religious service will occur Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
