Sergio Olivo, 74, of Copiague, entered into Eternal Life on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Beloved husband of 50 years of Elsa (Nunez) Olivo. Adored son of Grecia Olivo, age 99, and the late Rafael Olivo of the Dominican Republic. Devoted father of Linette Olivo and Denise Olivo and her husband, Raul Moreno Carreon. Adored Abuelo of Marcos Velasquez Olivo, Gian Raul Moreno Olivo, Luis-Antonio Moreno Olivo, Lilliana Velasquez Olivo, and Rafael Moreno Olivo. Dear brother of Antonio, Octavio, Rafael, Ana Luisa, Mariano, Josefina, Domingo, Ramon, Lino, Alida, Marcia, and Margarita. Sergio was the owner of El Gran Castillo de Jagua Restaurant in Brooklyn, New York, and Amigo Deli in Copiague, New York, before his retirement. The patriarch of his family, Sergio loved spending time in his garden and hosting family get-togethers, as his joy in life was spending time with his family and being the best friend of his grandchildren. A man of a deep and unwavering faith, Sergio was an active parishoner of Our Lady of The Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Copiague, NY, where he gave of his time. Always following the word of God, Sergio could often be found with his bible in his hand. His loving presense and cherished heart will be forever loved and deeply missed by each life that he touched. The family will received friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon, Sunday, July 13, 2025, 2:00 PM-4:30 PM & 7:00 PM-9:30 PM. Funeral mass 11:00 AM Monday, July 14, 2025, Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 1 Molloy Street, Copiague, NY. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Avenue, Pinelawn, NY.
