Susan Amato, 66, of West Babylon, on March 28, 2019. Beloved wife of 43 years of Stephen Amato. Devoted mother of Alyssa, Elizabeth, Joe (Joanna), and Lindsay (Jayme). Adored sister of John LaDuca. Amityville High School educator for over thirty years, where she was also the yearbook and newspaper advisor, PTA President, and President of Amityville Teachers Association. Susan was also the Youth League Commissioner and a softball coach. In addition to this, Susan was also a groomer and is survived by her cherished dogs, Pancake, Cooper, Hamilton, and George, as well as her cats, Bentley and Bandit. In her spare time, Susan loved her family, traveling, and playing the slot machines. Susan was a beloved mother who put her family first, a loyal friend, a dog lover, and admired got her strength and fighting spirit. She will be missed by all.
