

Victor Galfano, a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on January 6, 1945, Victor built a life centered on family, passion, and cherished traditions.
Victor was a loving and proud father to Maria Rizzi (Anthony) and Lisa Piccininni (Kenneth). He was a deeply cherished “Poppy” to Antonina, Alyvia, Marissa, and Matthew, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. He is also survived by his beloved siblings, Buster Galfano, Vita Rizzo, and Theresa Rottkamp, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and enduring bonds.
A man of many interests, Victor had a lifelong love of sports and was a dedicated fan of the New York Rangers, the Dodgers, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He had a keen interest in the stock market, but nothing ever meant more to him than his family. Victor was well-traveled and embraced life fully, enjoying the beauty of the world and the richness of different cultures. He had a particular love for food, especially Italian cuisine, and found his greatest happiness gathered around the table with loved ones, sharing Sunday dinners filled with pasta, meatballs, laughter, and love.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Claude R. Boyd - Spencer Funeral Home, Frederick Room, located at 448 W Main Street, Babylon, New York, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 39 N Carll Avenue, Babylon, New York, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 10:15 am. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton, New York, on April 29, 2026, at 12:30 pm.
Victor will be remembered for his warmth, his love of family, his appreciation for life’s simple pleasures, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those he loved.
