Graydon Whalen

Est décédé à l’Hôpital Régional de Campbellton, le 24 novembre 2014 à l’âge de 80 ans, Monsieur Graydon Whalen de Eel River Crossing, époux de Fernande (LeBlanc) Whalen. Né le 5 novembre 1934 à Eel River Crossing, fils de feu Reginald Whalen et feu Clarissa Perrott. Graydon était l’ancien chef pompier de la brigade d’Eel River Crossing et ancien maire du village.

Outre son épouse Fernande, il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Michael (Micheline), Mark (Réa), Dean (Nathalie), Gerry (Nicole) et Julie Whalen (Rick) et sa seule sœur Twila Whalen de l’Île du Prince-Édouard, ses 13 petits-enfants, 5 arrières petits-enfants, avec 2 autres en route, ainsi que plusieurs beaux-frères et belles-sœurs.

Les funérailles auront lieu à l’Église Ste-Trinité de Eel River Crossing, vendredi à 16h00.

Visite au salon funéraire Maher,517 Avenue des Pionniers, Balmoral, jeudi de 14h00 à 16h00, de 19h00 à 21h00 et vendredi 14h00 jusqu’à l’heure des funérailles.

Des dons à la Société des maladies du Cœur ou à l’église Ste-Trinité seraient appréciés par la famille.

Les arrangements funéraires ont été confiés aux soins du Salon Funéraire Maher de Balmoral.

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 24, 2014 at the age of 80, Mr. Graydon Whalen of Eel River Crossing, husband of Fernande (LeBlanc) Whalen. Born on November 5,1934 in Eel River Crossing, son of the late Reginald Whalen and the late Clarissa Perrott. He was the former Fire Chief of the ERCFD & former Mayor of the Village.

He is survived by his children, Michael (Micheline), Mark (Réa), Dean (Nathalie), Gerry (Nicole) & Julie Whalen (Rick) and his only remaining sister, Twila Whalen of Prince Edward Island. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren with 2 more expected. He leaves behind several brothers & sisters -in-laws.

The funeral mass will be held at Ste. Trinity Church, Eel River Crossing, on Friday at 4:00 pm.

Visitation at Maher’s Funeral Home, 517 Avenue des Pionniers, Balmoral, Thursday from 2pm to 4pm, 7pm to 9pm and Friday from 2:00 pm until time of funeral.

Donations to the Heart and Stroke or the Ste. Trinity Church would be appreciated by the family.
