After a short illness, Doris passed away in Baltimore, MD. February 22, 2012.
After working for Armstrong Tire & Rubber Co. for many years in Natchez, Doris moved to Baltimore with her son. She worked for Lancellata Realty and Schenuit Rubber Company until her retirement.
Doris is preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Foster Adams, her sister, Mildred Adams Smith, 2 brothers, Clyde Richard Adamcs and Curtis Foster Adams.
She is survived by her son, Lawrence Everette (Larry) Bass, 3 nephews, Vernon E. Smith,Jr. (Peggy), Richard Curtis (Ricky) Smith, Sr. (Micki) and Clyde Richard Adams, Jr.
Also survived by 2 nieces, Cara Rene' Adams and Tanna Adams Davis (Vidal)
A memorial will be held in Natchez in the spring. Interment will be at Natchez City Cemetery in the family plot.
