On Monday, April 4, 2022 George Schafer Zink Jr. passed away peacefully at the age of 62. He was born in Perry Hall, Maryland in 1960. George is the son of the late George Schafer Zink Sr. and Jean Elizabeth (Kling) Zink. He is survived by his loving sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and George Suggs, Winnie and Donald Brugman, Barbara and Michael Wagner and Mary and Michael Lynch. George was also loved by his sister and her husband the late Jean and Richard Dempster. He is also survived by his beloved sons Matthew Zink, his companion Kira Seek, Christopher and Alyse Zink, loving grandchildren, Anthony, Benjamin and Gaia. George was Catholic and attended Saint Joseph Church Fullerton, Maryland. He also attended Perry Hall Elementary, Middle and High Schools. George was a welder at Bethlehem Steel, Sparrows Point and a long distance truck driver for many years. He loved motorcycles, the track at Bud’s Creek and Nascar #8 Dale Earnhardt. He also enjoyed crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay and steamed crabs. George is loved by family and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be dearly missed.
A private service will be held for the family to celebrate his life.
