I thought I commented here awhile ago, but I guess it didn't post.

Laura and I lived 2 doors down from her.  We keep many of the little gifts from her displayed in the house and still have the Welcome to the Neighborhood note displayed on our refrigerator.

I treasured our sometimes long talks on the porch and I will miss hearing all of the news from the neighborhood.  She was always looking out for everyone on the block and I'd like to think she will continue to lookout for everyone from heaven.

She will be missed.

She taught us "sharin' and carin'". We were lucky to know her.
Every time we fired up the grill, we made sure we made extra for Miss Mary. She made sure no-one on the block missed a delivery because they had to work. Mornings, the dog would go out and bark for Mary to come out with treats for "her dog". In a lot of ways, she made the neighborhood.
Don't think they make them like that anymore. She will be missed.

Miss Mary was my next door neighbor for over 6 years on Dean St. Never was I able to sit on my porch for more than 5 minutes without can of soda or an ice cream sandwich landing in my lap.  And every few days there would be care packages on our doorstep, since she knew a house full of 20 somethings needed someone to look after them. She was one of the things that made living in Baltimore great.  She was one of kind, and will be missed.

She never let me call her Mrs.Mary when Chrissy and I became friends in our primary years, she was "Grandmom". She made me my big fluffy pink pom poms for my roller skates and always had a smile for you. As a girl I always thought how lucky Chrissy was because her grandmother was so cool. She was always positive and encouraging and her love of family radiated through her granddaughter. She was a beautiful woman  inside and out. Though I had lost touch with the family for many years, I am grateful for the times shared in my formidable years spent laughing and smiling.

Grandma Lang was amongst the most caring, thoughtful, loving, trustworthy people that will ever grace this planet. Her loss creates an unfillable void in our hearts. But I am both proud and honored to say that for over twenty years she accepted me as one of her own, never asking for more than a hug or a birthday wish, but always taking time to find an obscure item she knew I would treasure. To her, even at age 40, I was one of “the kids”. And that's perfectly fine by me. Miss you. Love you.

I was sadden to hear that the sweetest person left earth today. GOD needed a Angel, ,  knows in her heart. There will be no more suffering & pain. They say in time we all will be joined together. I hope so, want to see all who have passed. She left behind a grand daughter who loved her dearly. Keep in your heart were she always will be there in your thoughts . Through the clouds she will see, that with each tear drop you cry. You will have friends & family to help you through the pain. Just ask and we all will be there. I am so sorry for your loss. Love you and miss you Gran, I am so grateful that I had you in my life all these years. No one could have ever had a better grandmom than you! We sure did have fun!
