You are missed ! People may think that they understood things about us but they got it all wrong. I know you would’ve set things straight if you were here. Matt, I loved the huge smile you produced on your wedding day, as you married my first born child! Particularly, you beamed when I called you my son and stated that it was forever! I enjoyed watching you care for my granddaughter, driving her to school, escorting to doctor's appointments, piloting mini vacations! am standing on the promises of our faith that we shall meet again! The Florida trip won't be the same without you but we will have you with us in mind heart and spirit! I miss and love you very much! Mom Too!

I'm still at a loss for words. I can't believe that you are gone. You were and are a great brother. You were always there for me when I needed you. You were taken from us to soon. Your niece will know all about you. Ken and I will make sure of it. Wish you were still here. Miss you so much. ❤

Still can't believe your gone Matt. To the kappel family Matt was fun to be around he would do anything for anyone. Matt was always there if you needed a friend someone to talk to he would do anything he could for anybody. Matt was a amazing person  and loving hart. I believe everyone you meet has a purpose for whatever timeframe you share and they leave something with you when they are gone.  We may not have been best friends, hung out or talked often but I'm grateful that I had an opportunity to meet him and be apart of his MRDCC family.  He will be greatly missed.  To his family & friends, I pray that GOD comforts you during your time of grieving.

I was saddened to hear the passing of Officer Kappel and that loss was a blessing from God. There are no words that can heal the pain of losing a loved one. Kap you have truly left your footprints on this earth. Just the thought of knowing that I will never see you walk through that door again saddens me deeply. I pray that your family finds the strength needed to carry on during this time.

I'm sorry I will not be able to attend the party today for Matthew. I'm not going to say memorial or home going services..this is nothing short of a celebration of a beautiful life. You will truly be missed, until we meet again.

I know that words can not ease your pain right now, but know that prayer warriors are on your side. Kappel was so dear to me. We were always partners whenever I went on hospital trips. I will never forget the day we downloaded "Pokemon Go". The laughter we shared as we tried to catch the characters. This is a hard time for all of us, but know that God will get us through. I'm surely going to miss my brother in blue.
