Well, Paul, it has been four years since you passed.    I think about bygone days, as us old guys do quite frequently.  All the nights we worked fro 8PM to 4 AM chasing down drunk drivers in Baltimore.  Our days in police motorcycle training which was about as much fun as you can have on that job.  Then working the same  squad in the motorcycle unit.  I knew that I would probably not survive that job so I transferred after a few years.  Our paths crossed again years later when we ended up in the crash investigation unit.    You were a different kind of guy and that why we became fast friends.   Like me, you had a taste for weird cars.  I remember the Mazda you had with the rotary engine and the truck you had that looked like someone sliced off half of the truck bed.  You were always a gentleman an never got excited even in the worst of times.  We survived the police strike, blizzards, demonstrations and bad treatment by the city.  Just know that you are thought of often and remembered fondly.    Until we meet again, your friend, Dave Eastman

Mr. Paul is buried a few plots down from my grandparents. I was sad to see a new burial. My heart goes out to him and the family. Best wishes to all of you.

We met Paul when we brought his mom's home on Cedonia Avenue.  We truly fell in love with the house and Paul at the same time.  He was a very gracious,  generous,  and humble man. 
We were so impressed by him and the love he had for his family home that out of respect we kept some of Mrs. Lamond's trinkets. They are still in the basement window today.  When we recently cleaned the basement we left them where they were when we moved in. 
Funny story... when we first moved in we would go outside and Paul would be sitting on the porch or riding by saying Hello. We didn't mind and stayed in touch with him over the years. 
We are truly sorry for your loss but rest assured that he is in God's grace right now.  Be well and know your lives were blessed having such a great man in your life. 

Paul was such a great guy. When I first moved into the neighborhood I had so many things I wanted to do to my house. He was always there to offer suggestions, lend the right tool and kindly evaluate the final product.  I called him the "Earl of Mannington" because he kept a watchful eye on the neighborhood without being imposing. I remember getting a phone call once with a stern "Mr. Shawn, did you forget to tell me you were going out of town?" when he had confronted the young man leaving my house whom I had hired to feed my cats. I knew the kid was terrified by the trembling in his voice.  Paul was there for everybody. I'm going to miss him.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Paul was a terrific man. I was his mother's home visiting doctor years ago.  He was very dedicated, patient and kind.  

What a guy! Paul, Denise and JJ have been our "neighbors" for 21 years. We totally love you. You have been more like family then neighbors. Paul was always so quick to answer my gardening questions and letting us borrow the necessary tools to get the job done!   To this day every year I hear Paul warn me, "Don't plant until Mother's Day! Then you will be safe from frost." I clearly remember... Like it was yesterday once he crossed the street to tell me that it was NOT a chinchilla in my trash... and yes HE TOOK CARE OF IT! I loved to see him as a dad and husband. He was always so proud of you JJ. I could see it every time he spoke about you. And Denise his love for you was so obvious. What love you expressed in your unfailing, unwavering love and care for him. You guys were always a gift to each other and to anyone that may have had the privilege to be a part of your lives! I miss his smile, sense of humor and wisdom. And I miss our most common exchange, "Hey Paul I love you! Yup, I love you too Catherine." I am sure you and Bill are STILL catching up! See you soon Paul!!

I knew Paul for about 18 months or so but during that time I saw that he was a very loving and caring man. I learned a lot about Paul through Denise during our routine evening walks with our dogs. He will be truly missed by his family and friends. He will be joining many friends who have gone before him.

Paul was always a gentleman. Right after we moved in my sister came to visit and the dog locked her out of the house on a cold blustery afternoon. Paul helped her call me and get inside with the rascally pup. He always talked to Max on our wagon walks and Halloween tours.  Blessings and peace to you Denise and JJ.  His memory is for a blessing.

Denise and JJ, I am truly sorry to learn the passing of Paul.  Paul was an absolutely wonderful person.  It was a joy to look through the family photos you posted.

I am so sorry to hear of Paul's passing.  He and I go way back to 1975 when we both were transferred to the DUI enforcement unit in the BPD.  Paul was a very kind and considerate man and I was very honored to have him for a friend.
