On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, Thomas H. Evon II peacefully passed away surrounded by his family. He is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen Stapleton; children Thomas Evon III and wife Amy and Elissa Earp and her husband Jacob; grandchildren Sapphire Evon, Canyon Evon, Oakley Earp, and soon to be Riley Earp; parents Thomas Howard Evon Sr. (Brenda) and Kristy Ann Evon; sister Stacey Clous, and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Tom dedicated his life to work and family, achieving a rank of CW4 in the United States Army, proudly serving in two overseas wars, and retiring after 28 years. During his time in the military, he achieved a bachelor's degree, which ultimately led him to achieve his master’s degree later in life. While serving his country, he spent many years overseas which enabled him to tour much of Europe with his children. Tom loved visiting the castles, embarking in volksmarches, and exploring the cultures around him. Upon retirement from the Army he worked for the military at Aberdeen Proving Ground. He spent his later years living in Baltimore, embarking on world excursions with his wife, and enjoying the simplicities of beach life. He was able to capture the people around him by his determination and the ability to make a joke out of everything. Even though he was not with us as long as we all would have liked, he made a great impact on everyone he met and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or Operation Homefront.
