Brent James Hamilton

Brent was born on December 22, 1961, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, he was the first born son to Joseph and Frances Hamilton. Five years later, in October 1966 the family grew again. Byron was born when the family was living in Calgary, Alberta. Their family was complete, unfortunately, shortly after Byron’s first birthday, Joseph passed away in November 1967. The family of three remained in Alberta for another five years before moving to Kamloops, BC.

Brent and Carrie met in Kamloops, BC, in March of 1979, and our love story began in

October 1979. In March 1984, we welcomed our brilliant, and amazing son, Dustin, and it was our life’s journey to be his parents, and we couldn’t have been prouder to be his parents. We often spoke about how we were so blessed to have him as our son.

Our family of three took the journey in 1985 to move to Calgary, Alberta. In 1989, Brent started his banking career with the Scotiabank, which he spent the next 27 years. Throughout his career, our family embarked on our Alberta Journey starting in Calgary, then onto Settler, next was Brooks, onto Drumheller, and finally to Barrhead, where Brent retired in 2017 at the age of 55 years, in Barrhead, Alberta.

Our move to Barrhead brought our Son to find his bride Christina (Kluin) Hamilton (June 2009), which lead to our two amazing grandchildren Thea (July 9, 2016) and Owen (March 16 2018). Brent’s fight against cancer ended on December 25, 2024, with his wife and son by his side.
