Herbert Hoover of Barrhead passed away on September 27, 2017 at the age of 89 years old. He is survived by his loving family; son, Chester (Katherine) Hoover of Barrhead; daughter, Janice Hoover (Alan Sirack) of Edmonton; grandchildren, Ashley (Tyler) Van Leeuwen of Vega, Thomas & Madeline Sirack of Edmonton; great grandchildren, Rae – Lynn, Beau & Nathaniel Van Leeuwen all of Vega; as well as numerous other family and many dear friends. Predeceased by his wife, Alma; parents, Chester & Ernesta Hoover; and 3 sisters & 3 brothers. Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Barrhead United Church with Rev. David Pype officiating. Interment to follow at Eastlawn Cemetery, Barrhead. Memorial Donations may be made to AHS – Barrhead Continuing Care Center (memo line to read – Rec Dept) & Barrhead United Church Memorial Fund.
