Jean Pohl

On January 31, 2026, we said goodbye to our loving and caring mother. Jean Pohl was born July 7, 1928. She came to Canada as a young baby. She met the love of her life William Pohl and they married February 1947. They had three daughters Evy, Doreen, and Linda. They farmed in the Gardenview area for most of their lives, and semi-retired in the town of Barrhead. They purchased an Apartment building and managed that for many years. William Pohl passed away in May of 2011. They were married for 64 years. Jean is survived by her daughters, their spouses and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jean taught Sunday school for many years. She loved gardening, flowers, and oil painting. She had an artistic talent and played the violin in her younger years. Jean loved being a homemaker, cooking, baking, and being a gracious host.

We want to say thank you to all the staff at Shepherd’s Care Barrhead and Citadel Care Center, St. Albert where mom resided the last years of her life.

“We often think of bygone days when we were all together. The family chain is broken now but memories will live forever. To us, she has not gone away nor has she travelled far just entered God’s eternal home and left the gate ajar.”

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday February 17, 2026 at 11:00 am from Bethel Pentecostal Church, Barrhead.
