Joseph "Pep" Zilli

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected death of Joseph Isaia “Pep” Zilli (age 86) who passed away on October 19, 2023 with his loving wife by his side in the Barrhead Healthcare Centre. Pep was born on April 24, 1937. Predeceased by his parents Isaia and Emma Zilli. He is survived by his wife Audrey Zilli (nee Gabert); sons Gregory (Cecilia) of Oakville, Ontario; David (Jacqueline) of Tillsonburg, Ontario; and Randy (Jeannette) of Camrose, Alberta. Grandfather to 10 grandchildren: Mitchell, Erica, Kevin, Marisa, Mikayla, Olivia (Tim) Townsend, Ashley, Scott (Tiffany), Ryan, and Nickolas. Great-grandfather to Jazlyn and Trinity. Also survived by 3 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

After marriage (November 25, 1961), Pep & Audrey farmed in the Naples area. Their farm was sold on October 1, 2000, and they moved into their home in Barrhead. Pep took pride in driving school bus for 34 years, retiring in 2001. His favourite activities were travelling, golfing, floor curling, playing cards, and being a pool shark.

Memorial service will be held at the Rose Garden Chapel on Tuesday, October 24 at 1:00 pm. Luncheon to follow at the Senior Centre.
