Lakadia Kay Farnholz

October 6, 1925 – October 4, 2012

Mrs. Lakadia Kay Farnholz, born in Cichoff Cholm, Poland on October 6, 1925, late of Barrhead, AB, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2012 at the age of 86 years, two days shy of her 87th birthday. Kay is survived by her devoted family; she will never be forgotten and always loved by her five children, Bernie Farnholz, Ron (Ev) Farnholz, Dave (Lori) Farnholz, Carol (Garry) Schofield, and Elaine (Trent) Schofield. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Bernie Jr., Matthew, Rhonda, Cheryl, Kristine (Shaun), Jennifer, and Nathan; great-grandchildren, Emma, Cassandra, Leland, Aiden, and Savannah; one brother-in-law, Robert; sisters-in-law, Erna, Lee (Larry), Dora Litke, and Dorothy Litke; as well as numerous other family members and many dear friends. Kay is predeceased by her husband, Otto; and daughter-in-law, Sheila. A Celebration of Kay’s Life will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Bethel Pentecostal Church in Barrhead, AB. A Private Interment will follow at the Gardenview Cemetery. The family would like to extend their thanks to the Shepherd’s Care Staff, Dr. Bernes and the Barrhead Hospital.
