Tjamke Elgersma was called home by her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on October 2, 2021 at the age of 87 years of age as a resident of Keir Care in Barrhead, AB., formerly a resident of Neerlandia, AB. Tjamke is survived by her loving children, 3 daughters, Marilyn (Don) Plantinga, Anita (Norman) Spronk, Beatrice (Rick) Visser, 2 sons, Andrew (Irene) Elgersma, Rodney (Jackie) Elgersma, 21 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Grace, Ida and Mary, 3 brothers, Walter, Ben and Garry and 1 brother in-law John VanZalen. Tjamke is preceded by her husband of 57 years, Bert Elgersma (2011), grandson, Laval Plantinga (1982), parents Ralph and Mary Moes.
Tjamke readily used her gift of hospitability for anyone who entered her home. She also had a selfless heart for her family and friends.
A Private Family Service will be held at the Neerlandia Christian Reformed Church in Neerlandia with Pastor Art VerBoon and Rev. Barry Beukema officiating and interment followed at the Neerlandia cemetery.
