

Alma Dean Williams, 82, of Bartlett, Tennessee passed away Friday, November 10, 2017. Mrs. Williams was born April 12, 1935 in Athens, Alabama to William G. and Lizzie Mae Robison and came from a family of 14. She was retired from Malone & Hyde, was a member of Bartlett Baptist Church, 50 year member of Bartlett O.K. Houck #216 Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Daughters of the Nile, loved traveling, sewing, quilting, crafting, cooking and baking her famous old fashion sugar cookies. Mrs. Williams also loved taking care of people, was a friend to all, loved by many and was a devoted wife of 64 years to her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Williams that preceded her in death August 15, 2017. She is survived by her children, Debbie Ledford (Skip) and Jim Williams (Miriam), siblings, Roberta Hamilton and Glynn Robison; grandchildren, Karen Rene Williams (Daniel) and Ben Williams (Courtney); great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Williams is also survived by her special adopted family, Martha Moore, Mike and Brigitt Green, their daughters, Hailey and Emily and Jerry Jewell. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m., until service time at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to Al Chymia Shrine Hospital, 5770 Shelby Oaks, Memphis, TN 38134.
