

Amelia Ann (Mabry) Floyd of Bartlett, TN passed away peacefully in her home on February 24, 2026, at the age of 93. Amelia Ann was born in her Grandma Amelia “Millie” Little’s home, February 1, 1933, in West Helena, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Lee (Little) Mabry-Whittington, step father, Homer Mabry, her husband of 34 years, John Curtis Floyd, daughter, Marsha Lynn (Floyd) Luna, a grandson, Jeremy Ashton Brown, 2 brothers, Hoyt Leroy, and Billy Wayne Mabry, and nephew, David Matthew Williams.
She is survived by a daughter, Judy Brown (Tim), a sister, Margie Buffaloe (Bobby), two grandsons, Dr. Jeff Brown (Debbie), Jason Brown, two great grandsons, Parker and Connor Brown, a niece, Jennifer (Williams) Feld (Jason) and three grand nephews, Jacob, Jackson, & Joey Feld and great grandnephew, Jasper Feld. She also leaves behind a special long-time friend, Richard Burrow, and a host of other family and friends.
She was a long-time bookkeeper prior to owning her own company. John and Ann owned and operated Black Forest Plaques & Trophies of Memphis, TN for several years.
She was raised Baptist, loved Jesus, was a born-again Christian accepting Him as her personal savior. She taught Sunday school and Girl’s Auxiliary and served as chairperson for the WMU at Rose Hill Baptist for several years. Later, she was a member of Broadmoor Baptist.
She loved music. Her favorite singer was Elvis. She enjoyed many genres but especially Gospel and Country music. She loved singing in church choirs and church special duets with her daughter, Judy. She always enjoyed singing Karaoke at family celebrations and parties, often fighting over the mic. She was a self-taught pianist but took piano lessons in her late 70’s. She loved golfing, fishing, was an avid Bowler, and spent many years bowling in two different leagues a week. (She finally gave up bowling at the young age of 89). She loved cooking, and her fried pork chops with gravy were the best. She loved gardening and had a green thumb as well as a greenhouse. She painted some of the most beautiful landscapes in oils on canvas. She loved traveling and has been as far as Ireland. She often took her grandsons on trips. She also loved softball and played on the women’s team and coached the young girls’ softball team for Rose Hill Baptist Church for several years. She loved basketball and football, especially The University of Memphis Tigers, and The University of Tennessee Vols.
She was a vivacious outgoing woman who will be remembered by many and will be deeply missed.
A mother's love is always with her children. Losing a mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know. But her goodness, caring, and wisdom live on like a legacy of love that will always be with you. May that love surround you now and bring you peace.
