

Born in Memphis, TN, Anita lived a life defined by compassion, resilience, and devotion. She faced challenges with quiet strength and met joys with an open heart. Her journey was marked not only by personal courage but also by the unwavering love she gave to those around her.
Anita’s greatest legacy was her family. She shared a deep and enduring marriage with her husband, Pete, whose steadfast care and advocacy carried her through the final chapter of her life. Together they built a home filled with faith, laughter, and dignity. Anita’s warmth extended beyond her family, touching friends, neighbors, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her life was a testament to grace in adversity. Even in illness, Anita remained a source of light, teaching those around her the meaning of perseverance, gratitude, and love. She leaves behind not only cherished memories but also a living example of how to walk through hardship with courage and faith.
Anita is survived by her husband Gerard Pete Tollman IV and daughters Nicole Lee Tollman and Ryan and Christine Scholl. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Martha McMillan.
The wake is on Friday February 20, 2026, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and the memorial service will be held on February 21, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Memphis Funeral Home (Memorial Gardens 3700 North Germantown Pkwy. Bartlett, Tn 38133). The family requests donations be made to St. Jude, honoring Anita’s commitment to care and compassion, or flowers bought through the Funeral Home by calling 901-725-0100.
