

Ann Roberson, 93, of Bartlett, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2016. She was born January 26, 1923, in Memphis, Tennessee, the only child of Jessie and Eda Bibb. She grew up attending First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Roberson was a stewardess for Chicago and Southern Airlines, which became Delta Airlines and flew on DC9s and DC10s from 1944 to 1951. Her travels included Cuba, Jamaica, Chicago, Denver, Florida, California, and many other cities. She married Norris Y. Roberson on October 30, 1951 and leaves two children: Barry Roberson (Lorie) and Susan Gooch (Larry); and four grandchildren: Sarah James (Chris), Lindsay Roberson, Bryan Roberson, and David Gooch, all of the Memphis area. She and Norris moved their church membership to Berclair Baptist Church in 1968, which offered more actives for their children and women’s bible study. After Norris passed away in 1999, she moved to Bartlett and to Faith Baptist Church. Mrs. Roberson loved the Women on Mission group at Faith and especially enjoyed the Faith Stitchers where she helped make quilts for the homeless. She also loved knitting and made numerous baby blankets for friends and family members. The family will receive friends Friday, May 27 from 1-2 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens.
