Barbara Ann Tugwell (Rosenman), 68, of Bartlett, Tennessee, passed away on October 26, 2023, at her home surrounded by family. Barbara was born on June 23, 1955, in Jersey City, New Jersey, and was a beloved retired Admissions Coordinator at The King's Daughters and Sons Home.
Barbara was beloved by her family, especially her grandchildren and children whom she guarded and protected. A fun and loving person, she had a quick wit and a happy heart. Her memory will be cherished by those who knew her. Barbara was known for her ability to bring light to challenging times with her sense of humor. She will be remembered fondly for her kindness, generosity, and special homemade treats at Christmas.
Barbara is survived by her son Michael Burgess and his wife Lauren Beth, her granddaughter Hannah; her son Christopher Burgess, and his wife America, her granddaughter Andria; her daughter Caroline Burgess, her grandson Jacob and his husband Tim, her granddaughter Courtney and her husband Heath, and her granddaughter Sophia.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Christopher 'Big Chris' Tugwell with whom she shared 16 wonderful years of marriage. Her parents Jacob “Jack” Rosenman and Caroline Mary Fitzgerald (Rosenman) also preceded her.
Her surviving siblings include her sister Judith ‘Tukha.’, her brother Joseph, and her dear friend Betty Cox. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and many others.
Visitation services for Barbara will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and a memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, Tennessee.
The family welcomes donations to The King's Daughters and Sons Home as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.
