Bessie Jean “Beans” Graves, 82, of Millington, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2015. She was born in Manila, AR to John and Bessie Milligan Pierce on July 15, 1933 and was a retired nurse anesthetist with Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Graves, the widow of Edwin E. Graves is survived by her son and daughter in law, Aaron E. and Paula Graves of Atoka; two sisters, Dorthy Choate of Bald Knob, AR and Jenny Smith of Missouri; a grandson, Aaron E.”Arie” Graves II and a granddaughter, Harley Graves, both of Atoka. She was also preceded in death by her other siblings, Edna Brinkley, Ruth Nease, Johnnie Mcullough, Russell Pierce, David Pierce and Mint Durham. A gathering of family and friends will be this evening, Wednesday, July 22 from 5-7 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
