Betty Jean Pruett, 80, of Clarendon, Arkansas, formerly of Memphis, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014. She attended Macon Rd. Church of Christ and most recently, Brownsville Rd. Church of Christ. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with and cooking for her dear family. Mrs. Pruett, the widow of Cecil Pruett, is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Pruett of Frayser, TN, a son, Gary L. Pruett of Southaven, MS; two sisters, Ruby Roberts and Thelma Kelly, both of Clarendon, AR; a brother, Don Boshers of Jonesboro, AR; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cecilia McNeely; two sons, James A. and Bradley W. Pruett; and two brothers, James and Thomas Boshers. The family will receive friends Friday evening, April 4 from 5-7 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 5 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Memorial Gardens. Memorial gifts may be made to AGAPE Child and Family Services.
