Bobby G. Gaines, age 85, of Olive Branch, Mississippi passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. Bobby was born December 28, 1935 in Thaxton, MS just outside of Oxford to the late Leonard and Ada Mae Gaines.
He married the love of his life, Frances Arlene on February 5, 1966, in Memphis, TN. Bobby served in the Army before spending 28 years with Style Craft Lamps and 10 years with M&L Logistics. Bobby was a devoted Christian and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Bobby loved being outside and enjoyed working on projects, such as woodworking. In his younger years, he was an avid square dancer. Bobby truly loved his family and was always there to help in any way he could.
Bobby is preceded in death by his mother and father, Leonard and Ada Mae Gaines, his brother Jake Gaines, his sister Era Mae Faust, and his niece Wanda Sue Faust.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 55 years, Frances Arlene Gaines of Olive Branch, Mississippi; a loving sister [in-law] Wanda Martin; his children Gary Gray [Pam] and Vicky Barnett Gamez [Frankie]; three grandchildren Jay Barnett {Kristy], Mandy Biggs [Robert], and Emily Gray Ham [Tyler]; and his four beautiful great-grandchildren; Grayson Biggs, Myers Biggs, Quinn Biggs, and Jackson Barnett.
A visitation for Bobby will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM. The family will be hosting a reception after the service at the home of Robert and Mandy Biggs.
