He was born on January 27, 1952, in Little Rock, AR, to Aubry and Willie Glover. Bobby was raised with strong values that shaped a life defined by integrity, hard work, and kindness. He proudly served in the United States Army as Military Police in West Germany. There he made lifelong friends in Company A 709th MP Battalion, which continues today. His military service was a source of lifelong pride and reflected his commitment to serving something greater than himself.
Bobby retired from the United States Department of Agriculture as an FSIS food safety inspector in 2015 after almost 30 years.
Above all else, Bobby was devoted to family. He is survived by Judy Glover, his best friend and wife of 50 years, his beloved daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Jarmon Peregoy; the joy of his life, his grandchildren, Sam Peregoy, Madison Peregoy, and Jacob and Sarah Tribble. He was a steady presence, and a constant source of encouragement and humor. Family gatherings, conversations, and traditions were very important to him, especially at Christmas.
Outside of work, Bobby enjoyed cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks, collecting coins, and celebrating family holidays with his famous prime rib dinners. Above all he was known for his incredible sense of humor that he kept throughout his life and illness, and for making others feel welcomed and appreciated.
In keeping with Bobby’s wishes, the family will have a small graveside ceremony at The Glover Cemetery in Lonoke County, Arkansas at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project®.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, and only sibling, Rita Watson of Kansas City, Missouri.
Bobby’s life was well lived, and his legacy continues through the people that he loved, the work he did, the traditions that he handed down to his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren, and the example that he set to love family above all.
