Brett Burns, 57, of Jonesboro, passed away at his home on Sunday, May 22, 2016. He was retired from IBEW Local # 474, where he was a union electrician and was an avid sportsman, enjoying both hunting and fishing. Mr. Burns is survived by his dear mother, Helen O. Burns of Jonesboro; a son, William Brett Burns of Branson, MO; three brothers, Gene Burns of Jonesboro, Keith Burns of Connecticut and Barrett Burns, also of Jonesboro; a grandson, Ayden Burns and a nephew, Eric Burns of Jonesboro. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday afternoon, May 26 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Family and friends will gather beginning at 12:30 p.m. with a catered reception during the gathering time. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens.
