David Franklin Kee, age 81, of Crossville, Tennessee, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021. David was born August 19, 1939, in Oakland, TN. He was retired after 37 years from the Sheet Metal Workers Local #4, enjoyed hunting, and was a puzzle enthusiast.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Audra Gavin, and three siblings, Norman Kee, Dee Chandler, and Bonnie Kuhnen.
David is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 59 1/2 years, Opal Kay Kee; his daughter, Cherie Suther and her husband David; his son-in-law, John Gavin; his two sons, Andrew Kee and his wife Laura, and Chris Kee and his wife Angie; seven grandchildren, David Suther Jr., Katie Suther, Zachery Kee, Brandi Snook, Max Gavin, C. J. Kee, and Joshua Kee; and four great grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers, Jack Kee, William Kee; and a sister, Josie Williams.
The family will receive friends beginning at 1pm with a funeral service to follow at 2pm, on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway Bartlett, TN 38133.
