Donald Lee Norton

He was born on May 13th, 1939, in Fond du Lac, WI, to Lewis and Florence (Burton) Norton. On October 16th, 1963, he married Guillermina Delfina Rebecca (Becky) Luna Hernandez of Vera Cruz, Mexico. Don served in the U.S. Navy from June 11th, 1956 to September 23rd, 1966. He was formerly employed as the evening shift maintenance man at Wells Manufacturing for over 30 years. He was both a journeyman millwright and machine repairman. He retired in September 2001. He loved watching sports and was a Milwaukee Brewer, Wisconsin Badger, and Green Bay Packers fan. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid reader and computer gamer. He had a big heart and ready smile for everyone.

Surviving are his eldest daughter, Melanie (Jay) Ha’o of Bartlett, TN; son, Donald Jr (Raquel) Norton of Bartlett, TN; youngest daughter, Libby (John) Stevenson of Imperial, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Cassandra, William, Serafina, Zaylah, Donald III, Quinnton, and Devon; three brothers, Ronald (Sandy) Norton of Sheboygan WI, Robert Norton of Dotyville WI, and Terry (Linda) Norton of San Diego CA, and seven sisters, June (Ken) Madritsch of Milwaukee WI, Carol (Jack) Lucas of Hemet CA, Dorothy of Green Bay WI, Georgia of Coloma WI, Patricia (Mike) Walters of Stevens Point WI, Yvonne (Dave) Stainbrook of Beaver Dam WI, and Barbara Mielke of Chicago.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers (Lewis and Gene Sr.), a sister (Kaye), four brothers in law, James Schierland, Efrain, Juan and Delfino Luna and three sisters in law, Marilyn Norton, Guadalupe Frias, and Graciela Spera.

Immediate family viewing is being held on Saturday, October 17th, at 2 pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Bartlett, Tennessee.
