Debbie, Denise, Nick and Caroline, 

I'm so deeply sorry for your loss. I thought that I would have found the words, but I still can't express the depth of my sorrow for sweet, precious Doris, my "cool" Aunt. Since I was a kid, I still picture her wearing sunglasses, ha. She was always gentle and sweet to me.  Perhaps my favorite memory of the last few years of Susi, Rose and I, joining  you, Debbie, and Doris to see Colin Paul, the wonderful Elvis tribute singer at Marlowes...all had such a good time, especially when Colin sang to Doris.

I'll love and miss you as long as I live, Aunt Doris.

Although I didn't have the pleasure of meeting your mom but loved the stories you shared with me.  These are difficult times but God is with you and your family.  I am praying  for peace and comfort.  

Debbie and Denise we are so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a beautiful soul. Everytime I saw her she had a beautiful smile on her face. She will be greatly missed. I know there will be hard days to come but she raised 2 strong girls and together (and with all your family) you will get through this.  She will be with you always, remember she is just a memory away!

I’m so sorry for the loss of your mother. 
Some of the earliest memories I have of Doris is when her and her family would visit us while we all lived on North Parkway.  She and my mother would often leave and go to the movies together.   

Doris was not only beautiful on the outside but inside as well.  She was always so gracious and thankful to me for hosting our family reunions. 

She will be truly missed by all of us.

I worked a long time with Doris at Parks-she loved her work, we made many good memories with her, and she always had a smile for everyone!  I will miss her!

Doris was a soul filled with such love and joy, and she is already missed by all of her family and friends here on earth. We will miss her here on earth but I’m sure she’s having a wild reunion with all the family that passed before. Can you imagine that party?!

My memories of Doris are many, yet beyond the things she did and said was the essence of who she was. Her warmth, her openness, her laughter, that beautiful smile and her zest for life.  Above all else I remember her love for her children and her family.  For me that love truly defined who she was.  We are so sorry for your loss.   Know you are deeply loved.  Angie and Dottie. 

Debbie & Denise, my deepest  condolences on the passing of your mom. One of most prevalent memories of your mom and frankly of my childhood were those gorgeous dolls she and Rose used to create. I can still remember when I first saw them as if it were yesterday. It was one of the prettiest things I had ever seen. It felt like one of those moments when time stood still because of the magic and mystique of it. I’ve thought about the dolls often over the years and have discussed it with Carla to see if she knew more about it. I’ve researched how she was able to capture it and believe I may have all the components to create it except for the doll. I have yet to be brave enough to try it. Your mom was such a sweet and lovely person. May her love and memories provide you great comfort ❤️

It saddens us that we really didn’t see much of the family except for reunions. The times we did see and catch up with everyone was enjoyable.
We are deeply saddened for your family’s lost especially when you could not be with her these last six months . Things will never be the same but I am sure seeing your video the good times outweighs the bad.  We will keep you in our prayers.

My first memories of Doris are.....My Dad and I went to visit at Uncle Mario's house.  After a while I snuck out and went to Doris's.  She let me sit at the kitchen table and drink milk and eat ALL the cookies I wanted!   I was in awe of the Debbie's Cotton Carnival Princess picture.  I asked Doris if she was a queen, since Debbie was a Princess.   She threw her head back and laughed, and said, "Well then I guess I am!" She started sashaying around the room.
She always greeted me with a hug, kiss and smile, then asked about my family.  She was such an sweet and kind lady.
Doris is now at rest.  She is certainly in good company in heaven with beloved family and friends.

Dear Debbie and Denise,
I am sorry for your loss  Ms. Doris and I worked together for about 10 years.  She was always helpful and willing to assist in whatever she was asked to do.  She was a very loving, giving, and supportive person.  I am going to miss her.  She was so blessed to have you guys who spent time with her and took her on nice outings and vacations.  In the last two years she forgot a few details about our relationship but she never forgot my  name.  When I did get a chance to visit her she always greeted me with a big smile. Whenever I saw Doris she always blessed me with a kind word, a laugh and her beautiful smile.  She is missed.

We are so sad for your loss. Losing your mama is unspeakably hard. You took wonderful care of her, and you fought hard to give her such great experiences and adventures in her later years. I know Muzzie thought the world of Doris. Praying for peace and comfort and sending love ❤️.

 I ONLY MET MS DORIS ONCE BUT SHE IMPRESSED ME AS A STRONG WOMAN. BUT A VERY LOVING  AND CARING LADY OF HER DAUGHTERS. HER DAUGHTER ARE APPLES THAT DID NOT FALL FAR FROM THE TREE THEY ARE BOTH EXCELLENT PEOPLE, VERY CARING OF THEIR  CHILDREN. DEB I AM PRAYING FOR YOU AND FAMILIES KNOW SHE WILL BE MISSED.

I only met Doris once or twice, but her legacy is definitely found in  her beautiful family which she taught to be such kind and caring friends.

I remember walking hand and hand, arm  in arm with Ms. Doris and getting stares.  She turned around and said she has a different daddy. Even I fainted! I also got to experience her loving and kind side. My neighborhood had been torn apart by tornadoes. Ms. Doris sheltered my son and me for an entire week. During that time, she wrapped us in blankets, fed us, and kept me relaxed. Her humor and kindness will never be forgotten.  I love you Ms. Doris and I thank God you're looking down taking care of me from a much better place.

I am so sorry to hear about your momma. I truly loved your momma. She could always put a smile on my face and make me laugh. I was so blessed to have known her for many years. I have such sweet memories of her. She definitely put a mark on my heart.  
There is one thing for sure and that is the love that was shared between you girls and your mom. She was all about you girls. I know you girls did everything you could and more for  her 
during her last years when things were tough.  That love is not experienced by many. That is the special love and bond that I saw. She was very lucky and extremely proud of the women, mothers, and true friends to so many that you girls were. 
There is no doubt that many more tears will be shed and the empty hole that is left in your hearts.  May the days ahead become easier with loving memories, laughter from the silly things you all did together, and the love you shared. 
I am sure that Nick and Carolyn will share their own special memories. She loved her grandchildren and was extremely proud of them as well.

So very sorry for your loss. Our family have so many wonderful memories from years of living across the street. Your Mom was one of the most loving and caring neighbors. Always ready to lend a hand or just visit. My children were so sad to here of her passing. Sending our prayers and hugs.
